Top Ten Tips for Impostor Syndrome

“Everyone else is better than you. You are not as good as people think you are and you are going to get found out.” – Your Impostor.

This underlying belief can lead to people magnifying their failings, discounting their achievements, and focusing a lot more on what they can’t do than what they can do. In short, people with Impostor Syndrome tend to be harder on themselves than they deserve and more generous in their views of others.

You’d be surprised to know how many people suffer (or have suffered) from Impostor Syndrome, and I’m no exception. Here is a summery of my top ten tips for tacking Impostor Syndrome, taken from my video.
